I just realized I have no idea how to post a reply. I’m not affiliated with hemline@lsu, though it sounds like a terrific project. Things I sew don’t end up on runways, just around the house, on me or on the dachshunds. Thanks for asking!

Great variety of folk costumes from Spain. Love flamenco, but there’s so much more to see.
I remember family members talking of the black fingerless fishnet gloves and white lace shawls from Catalunya, shown here in the Barcelona stamp.

(In order) Female traditional costumes from: Álava, Albacete, Alicante, Almería, Ávila, Badajoz, Islas Baleares, Barcelona, Burgos and Cáceres.
There’re a lot of them, since the territories that form Spain today used to be part of different kingdoms centuries ago and every one of them has different traditional costumes.
